Very few people know that Mukesh Ambani is Asia’s biggest Mango producer. This is in 1997, when Reliance’s Jamnagar oil refinery was causing a lot of pollution. Due to which a lot of legal warnings were being received from the pollution control board. And so Ambani ji to control the pollution, Reliance started a mango farm in the basement near this refinery. And within a few years, Reliance built a 600-acre farm. In which about 1 lakh 40 thousand mango trees were planted. And this farm became famous as Jamnagar Farm Private Limited. Which today produces thousands of tons of mangoes. Opened on the pretext of controlling pollution, this business is doing business of crores today.
बहुत कम लोग ही ये जानते है कि मुकेश अंबानी एशिया के सबसे बड़े मांगो प्रोडूशर है। ये बात है 1997 की, जब रिलायंस की जामनगर ऑयल रिफाइनरी से काफी ज्यादा pollution हो रहा था। जिसके कारण pollution कंट्रोल बोर्ड से काफी लीगल warnings मिल रही थी। और इसलिए अम्बानी जी ने pollution को कंट्रोल करने के लिए, रिलायंस ने इस रिफाइनरी के पास वाले basement में एक mango farm चालू कर दिया। और कुछ ही सालों में रिलायंस ने 600 एकड़ का फार्म बना दिया। जिसमे करीब 1 लाख 40 हज़ार mango tree लगाए गए थे। और ये farm जामनगर फार्म प्राइवेट लिमिटेड नाम से मशहूर हो गया। जो आज हज़ारों टन mango प्रोड्यूस करता है। Pollution control करने के बहाने खोला गया, ये business आज करोड़ों का business कर रहा है।
