NASA Parker Solar Probe makes history in attempting closest-ever approach to sun | DW News

NASA’s Parker Solar Probe is making history by flying closer to the sun than any human made object in history. The solar probe was due to zip past the sun for a flyby on Christmas Eve, traveling at more than 430,000 miles per hour. This NASA spacecraft is the fastest human-made object ever. Scientists hope the mission to the sun will help us deepen our understanding of the star.
