The Trump administration just doubled down on Greenland. Vice President JD Vance announced this week that he was headed to Greenland. Originally, the Trump administration said that Usha Vance, the second lady, and Michael Waltz, the national security adviser, would make the trip to Greenland, which is a a semiautonomous territory of Denmark. Officials in Greenland have made very clear they don’t want the visit at all. But it is in keeping with Trump’s strategy of getting Greenland by hook or by crook.
