HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj meets Honorable President Droupadi Murmu
Recently, Honorable President Srimati Droupadi Murmu took oath as the fifteenth and the current President of India. The Chairman of ISKCON Bureau, HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj along with ISKCON National Director of Communications HG Vrajendra Nandan Prabhu and HG Yudhishthir Govind Prabhu met with the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Honorable President recalled her several visits to ISKCON temples in various parts of the country. She was indeed very happy to learn about various spiritual, cultural and philanthropic initiatives undertaken by ISKCON since many years. HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj briefed the President about various programmes conducted by ISKCON in the field of tribal care in Odisha, North east and few other states of India. At the end, Srila Prabhupada’s portrait, Oriya edition of Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is and the mahaprasad of Sri Sri Radha Parthasarthi was presented to The President, who was very pleased with the meeting and conveyed her best wishes towards the efforts of ISKCON in furthering its preaching mission.
