The auspicious occasion of Ashadhi ekadashi ushers in a wave of celebrations throughout Maharashtra. Palanquins and dindis are carried from birthplaces and samadhis of various saints of Maharashtra and varkaris reach Pandharpur to take darshan of Lord Vitthal. Recently ISKCON Vedic Education and Culture Centre Aurangabad organized Dindi yatra on Ashadh ekadashi for darshan of Sri Vitthal Rukmini of Prati Pandharpur situated in Waluj area of Aurangabad. Dressed in traditional attire, men and women sang abhangs and Hare Krishna kirtans in front of the palanquin. The dindi yatra commenced at 7.15 am from Kranti Chowk and more than 150 devotees participated in it. Heavy rains didn’t deter the spirit of the devotees. At 11.30 am in the midst of joyful kirtans and dance performance, everyone witnessed the divine darshan of Sri Vitthal Rukmini and at the end ekadashi prasad was distributed among one and all.
