Why The FBI Were At Ben Affleck’s Home Amid LA Fires

The FBI made a visit to Ben Affleck’s neighborhood in the Pacific Palisades, Calif. but they weren’t looking for the actor. According to E! News, two FBI agents and two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office deputies were surveying his neighborhood over the weekend as part of an investigation pertaining to the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. “Members of the FBI’s Ground Intercept task force are conducting activity in the area of the Palisades fire relative to unauthorized drone activity. Agents and our local partners may be visible throughout the area, including at various residences, for this reason” a spokesperson for the FBI told the outlet. Photos obtained by TMZ appear to show the officers outside Ben’s home, but the FBI did not confirm whether they were specifically at the actor’s home. Access Hollywood has reached out to the FBI and Ben’s team for comment. As of Jan. 13, the Los Angeles Fire Department says the Palisades Fire has burned over 23, 713 acres and is 14 percent contained. It has destroyed 1,280 structures and killed 8 people. Meanwhile according to Cal Fire, the Eaton fire burning in Altadena, Calif. has burned over 14,117 acres and is 33 percent contained. It’s destroyed 1,422 structures and taken the lives of 11 people.
