Former investment, trade and industry minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz has been appointed as senior political adviser to the prime minister for a two-year term effective today.
In a statement today, the Prime Minister’s Office said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had agreed to the appointment.
The appointment fills the vacancy of senior political secretary to the prime minister, which was held by Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin before he tendered his resignation in November last year.
