Here’s how a modified active mobility device (AMD) can get caught even if it’s not moving.
Land Transport Authority (LTA) officers in Singapore are using a new tool to detect illegal modifications and measure an AMD’s top speed without having to catch it actually speeding.
During enforcement operations in Admiralty on Monday (Feb 23), officers impounded 19 non-compliant devices and detected 36 offences in all. Five of the devices were flagged using the new tech, which has been in use since November. (Video: CNA/Ili Mansor)
