Scientists just found 13 ancient teeth in Ethiopia that may rewrite human evolution
The teeth dated to 2.8 million years ago, provide a piece of evidence that supports a theory called “budding cladogenesis”: the idea that evolution is messy, overlapping, and way more complex than textbooks suggest.
As opposed to the original concept that humans neatly evolved from one species into another like an assembly line. But as new information is unearthed, like these teeth, that traditional narrative becomes less and less likely.
But it still doesn’t answer the bigger question of why did humans, of all other species, survive to modern day?
