Russia is continuing to make military gains in Ukraine, raising questions over whether Moscow will accept US proposals for a 30-day ceasefire.
Vladimir Putin appeared on Russian TV, visiting the frontline in the Kursk region, where Russian troops are attempting to push Ukraine’s forces out.
Ukraine said on Tuesday it had agreed to a 30-day ceasefire following talks with the US in Saudi Arabia.
Russia is deciding whether to accept the proposals, with a US team due to arrive in Moscow this week.
