Botsa Satyanarayana became the center of a viral social media storm after a blunder at a press meet regarding the Tirumala laddu controversy. In an attempt to defend YSRCP and cover up Jagan Mohan Reddy’s mistake, he tried to shift public anger towards the Chandrababu Naidu-linked Heritage company. Waving a packet in the air, he claimed, “This is the evidence! The laddu got spoiled because of the Heritage ghee coming from Indapur!” However, the packet he was holding clearly had “CHEESE” written on it, not ghee. It’s astonishing that a senior political leader could confuse the cheese used in pizzas with the ghee used in Tirumala’s sacred laddus. The real plan by Jagan was to deflect public outrage onto the Heritage brand, suggesting that the ghee coming from Indapur caused the laddu spoilage. In reality, the spoilt ghee was supplied by AR Dairy in Tamil Nadu, with no connection to Heritage or Indapur. Botsa’s cheese blunder backfired, turning into a self-goal for Jagan. Netizens pointed out that even Amul, brought into Andhra Pradesh by Jagan, sources products from the same Indapur plant, raising questions about his logic. Using divine prasadam for political diversion, and trying to mislead the public with such false claims, exposed both Botsa’s ignorance and the YSRCP’s ethics in a very public way.
