Big 8th Pay Commission 2026 update: For the first time, the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) has opened a structured public consultation through an 18-question questionnaire on the MyGov portal. This is a major shift from earlier Pay Commissions because inputs are being collected in one common, comparable format.

In this video (12:55), you will get a complete, step-by-step guide on:
– Where to find the 8th Pay Commission questionnaire on MyGov
– Who can participate (and how wide the eligibility is)
– What topics the 18 questions cover (Pay, Allowances, Pension, DA/DR, Bonus, Staffing reforms, service conditions)
– How to fill it correctly in Hindi or English
– What to write so your suggestion is short, factual and impactful

Important dates (as per the MyGov notice):
Start: 05 Feb 2026
Last date: 16 Mar 2026 (closes at 23:45 IST)

Who can submit responses?
Central Government employees, UT employees, ministries/departments, state governments, judicial officers, court staff, regulatory bodies, serving and retired employees associations/unions, pensioners, academicians, researchers, experts, and even individual citizens. In simple words, if you have a genuine suggestion for pay, pension or service matters, you can submit it.

Key rules you must remember:
1) Submission is ONLINE only through the questionnaire. Letters, PDFs, emails or WhatsApp forwards will not be counted.
2) Responses are confidential. The Commission has indicated that names will not be published publicly and analysis will be done in an aggregated manner.
3) Each answer has limited space, so write point-wise and solution-oriented.

What you can mention inside your answers (examples of searchable, practical issues):
– Pay matrix anomalies, level-to-level compression, minimum pay and living cost realities
– Fitment factor expectations, wage revision frequency, and fair relativity across cadres
– Allowances: HRA, TA, risk/hardship allowances, uniform allowance, CCA and other department-specific allowances
– DA/DR: index issues, merger suggestions, and inflation impact on salary and pension
– Pension: parity, commutation restoration (15 years vs 12/11 years debate), family pension concerns
– Interim relief (if Pay Commission timelines extend), and protection of real income
– Staffing and workload: vacancies, outsourcing issues, promotion delays, training needs, medical coverage
