Hi there, I’m Kerry, and here is your daily news roundup on Wednesday, the 28th of February, sponsored by Arnold Clark. Tonight, Rangers head to Rugby Park to take on Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock side. And the Ayrshire boss says he knows exactly what to expect from the Glasgow outfit but believes his side can match it. “Playing against players who want to start quick and come here and show themselves and flex the muscles, you’ve got to be ready to fight fire with fire, and we want to make sure that we try and own that pitch tomorrow, try and get out there and impose ourselves in the game.”
Also this evening, the third Edinburgh Derby of the season takes place at Tynecastle, and after their heavy defeat to Rangers at the weekend, Steven Naismith says his side is ready to take on their city rivals. “The squad doesn’t become poor overnight, but individual players don’t become poor on the back of one performance. Again, we’ve consistently said we’ve got a competitive group, and no player comes in wanting to play.”
