The Palestinian Islamic Jihad released a video of now freed Russian hostage Alex Trufanov, capturing the exact moment he was told he is being released from captivity. Trufanov was captured by Palestinian armed group Hamas on 07 October 2023 during the group’s onslaught in southern Israel. Along with Trufanov, his mother, grandmother and partner was also abducted. Trufanov’s father was killed in the terror attack.
