A businessman had his Toyota Supra seized after the Road Transport Department (RTD) found its road tax and insurance had expired during an operation targeting luxury vehicles.
Sabah RTD director Datuk Mohd Harris Ali said the car’s licence plate also failed to meet specifications.
The offences violate Section 23(1) and Section 90(1) of the Road Transport Act, which carry penalties of up to three months’ imprisonment and fines totalling RM3,000.
