A 59-year-old man from Nelamangala, Bengaluru, has been arrested for allegedly submitting fake medical bills to fraudulently claim money from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). The accused, who had completed a Teacher Training Course, collected patient details from private hospitals in Yeshwantpur and created counterfeit medical documents to submit fraudulent applications to the Chief Minister’s office. Police identified four other suspects, two of whom have recently passed away, and suspect the group used various deceitful means to siphon off funds.
