What are the reasons for banning this cough syrup?
The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a complete ban on the sale of ‘Relife’ and ‘Respifresh TR’ syrups across the state after children’s deaths due to kidney failure. The death toll due to consumption of toxic cough syrup reached 15 after the death of a 2-year-old girl last night.
Government is alarmed by the situation and several cough syrups have been banned.
