A businesswoman claimed she “overlooked” renewing her luxury car’s road tax and insurance for eight years after being stopped by the Road Transport Department yesterday.
The woman, who was driving a Bentley Continental, was detained during “Ops Khas Luxury” at Jalan Tun Razak.
Kuala Lumpur RTD director Hamidi Adam said checks revealed the vehicle’s motor vehicle licence (LKM) and insurance had expired since 2018.
Further inspections revealed the woman also did not possess a Competent Driving Licence (CDL).
The vehicle was seized under the Road Transport Act 1987 for further action.
