The Supreme Court issued rulings in two cases regarding recent Trump administration actions. The United States does not have to return a Maryland man who was accidentally deported to a high-security prison in El Salvador to U.S. soil by midnight, the Supreme Court ruled in an administrative stay that temporarily pauses a judge’s previous order. The Supreme Court also threw out the order of a federal judge who had blocked the removal of men alleged to be members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to El Salvador without any legal process under the Alien Enemies Act.
